Dance of Death
Collaboration by Poets (in order): PaintedDiary, Kit Carson, PaintedDiary, Kit Carson, JolieH and Jer4clarity

The stench of decay succumbs the sunset
Noctum creatures emerge on the battlefield
The hallows of my soul face turbulence
Shadow people beg for center stage

Ninja warrior grabs ink and parchment
Sword of light to combat darkness
Grey moves in diffusing lightness
Thunder rolls down hill and dale

Lightning etched warrior ink
Master's swords burn brimstone words
Darkness pays homage to principles of life
Cadavers dangle on crest of a pallid moon

Wizard and sorcerer’s apprentice slip
Into the vale of dark’s delight
Shadow dancing with evil’s spawns
Heart’s desire burning in the cold pale night

Curfew brakes and corpses gather
to celebrate fair creatures fall.
Blood embossed on yellowed satin
kiss the wilted features nigh.

The devil knows our jagged past
so does his dance, the dance of death
with unsuspecting hearts and minds
He steals each breath until their last.

This is one of those poems that resonates within your mind. It's sort of spooky but the content is eye-opening (for lack of better terminology) All I can say is - I've already had my nightmare for the day LOL - Hope I don't have another

Very nice piece of collaboration YAWL Poets!
Excellent = Thanx for sharing your gift

Jacquii.

Yes I can see a point on this one life is so precious and the devil is full of evil he could pull the last breath I guess but of all it is God I believe that takes the last breath rather the person is a good soul or bad but I do like how the images roll in this poem .
