Who am I
Who am I
I'm the one you tease,
Cause I'm different.
I'm the one you bother,
Cause I'm just there.
I'm the mat you step on.
I'm the rock you kick around.
And you think you can control me.
Like i'm the clay and you're the sculptor.
Like I'm the robot and you press my buttons.
But you can't control me.
I may be nothing as you say.
But your words don't mean jack to me.
I am somebody.
Sooner or later you'll see me on the street.
With my head up high,
While you're eating my dust.
And I'll be wondering,
Who's laughing now!

Very nice, I can relate to that in some ways... When I was a kid/teen didn't have many friends was made fun of and stuff, got beat up a few times. I also have a poem called Who Am I that I wrote a long time ago but mine is about a kid trying to be cool, or thinks they are being cool.

Hello!
I really enjoyed this poem and especially liked the ending as well. This is just a very empowering and I could relate to it to what you were saying in it. I've come across those people who always want to put you down, step on you, but you're ending says it all with them seeing you one day and you have your head held high, proud of who you are, and they're the ones eating your dust now and asking yourself who's laughing now. And I think that is a great message to say with the ending of your poem.
Well, altogether I'm glad I came across this and thank you for sharing!
