I went and saw the new Hulk movie last weekend. It was pretty good, all told. The special effects are top notch, with some jaw-dropping, I-can't-believe-I-just-saw-that goodness. The story is actually fairly engaging, based loosely upon the new graphic novel that came out a few years ago.

Basically, Bruce Banner is a fugitive. He is frightened of the monster that lurks within him, and so he goes into hiding in Brazil. He learns breathing methods and calming techniques to try and prevent the Hulk from coming out. Meanwhile, an Army general is searching for him to try and bring him back to the US in order to duplicate the experiment that made the Hulk.

Of course, that's the last thing Banner wants. He works feverishly to try and cure his condition, coordinating his efforts with a mysterious "Mr. Blue" who communicates with him over a secure satellite link. Overall, I think it's worth seeing. It's a movie that's best seen in theaters unless you have a kickin' home theater sound system.
