It's not very often that we solicit donations from our Members - And it's not very often that I simply reach into my pocket book to pay the bills of over 1000 people. Today it stops! JPiC Forum is free for all Members, but it is not free to run. We have our annual round of bills due NOW -- vBulletin licensing fees, hosting fees, domain registration fees, etcetera... -- so please consider making a charitable contribution to keep this wonderful Community of Writers for Writers online!

Contributors will be recognized with a shiny new Contributors Member plaque, a spiffy new Contributors award in the JPiC Member Awards section and will receive several board enhancements. Mostly though - You will have the satisfaction of knowing you have contributed to the best damn Forum For Writers & Poets on the entire internet

Many of you have benefitted from the wonderful Community we have established here - So reach into your pocketbooks, grab your credit card or checkbook and throw a little bit of monetary love our way! Meh - the silence and lack of donatons may be one of the reasons I close this Forum down. I've put so much work into the recent upgrade. The vBulletin licensing fee is due. I receive automated database errors daily because of the popularity. I would like to purchase advertising so that people know about the wonderful thing we have here at JPiC. It could be interesting to be able to afford our own private hosting. Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera...

I post this thread, asking for charitable contributions from Members who have no doubt benefitted from this Forum and have no problem at all sharing their writing and such....

I'm not gonna come out of my pocket for the fees.

If the vBulletin license does not get renewed - It means that there will be no further updates, upgrades and/or enhancements made to JPiC Forum. The renewal fee is due before the end of September 2008...

I see there are people who have given millions of dollars to political campaigns and not 1% of that money is coming to further the beauty that is JPiC Forum and for the arts in general. It's mind-boggling and I particularly want to say FUCK OFF! Sorry.

Again: I'm not gonna come out of my pocket for the fees that keeps this forum online and 100% free. Perhaps I should simply close down the registration process?

btw - for those of you who have clicked the link to even read this thread and who have not grasped the meaning of "come out of my pocket" --- It means - PAY THE BILLS!

I agree. Ms Jacquii SHOULD NOT have to pay all the bills by yourself! I wonder if we realize that she not only created this haven of poetic bliss that we ALL benefit from but all the HARD WORK she has done to upgrade and maintain this forum!

People....if reading this.....Ms Jacquii has spent hundreds upon hundreds of hours and 24 hour non-stop work days on this site, upgrades, and so much behind-the-scene work on this site that it is unimaginable.

I will pay the fee myself if need be to help her.

I cannot even imagine JPiC closing down!!
