Okay - It's been one month since the Forum was upgraded to the current version of vBulletin software. In the interim I have fixed several issues that resulted after upgrade and have added a few additional customizations to the forum. So finally - The upgrade features! The list below is a detail of the new features available to all Registered Members. We'll begin with the new Member profile page and it's corresponding elements. Then we'll move on to the actually new features. Of course if you have any questions - Don't hesitate to Send me a PM - I'll be happy to help resolve any issues and/or explain procedure regarding the new board features.

The Quick & Easy Menu referred to throughout is the Menu that appears at the top of each Forum page as seen in the screenshot below. To activate the menu dropdown, simply click the QUICK & EASY MENU Menu text. Likewise to close the menu simply click the CLOSE QUICK & EASY MENU text.

New Member Profile Page

In order to accomodate all the new features in vBulletin upgrade, the Member profile page has been completely redesigned from the ground up.

The new page presents information in a far cleaner and more logical manner, while dividing up information into manageable chunks using a tabbed interface.



You can access your public profile via the Quick & Easy Menu dropdown at the top of each Forum page: Open Menu --> Quick Links --> Your Profile --- Other Members' profiles are generally viewable by clicking their name. Alternatively browse to the following:

Simply replace member-name with the actual Member name. For instance my profile is as follows:

NOTE:
Whenever a Member's name has a special character (an asterisk, underscore, tilde, etc...) simply replace the special character with a hyphen.

Public Messaging ---------------------------------------------------------

While JPiC had added a custom profile messaging system on the previous style, vBulletin 3.7 introduces a brandnew public messaging system, allowing Members to communicate publicly via the Visitor Messages section of their personal profile pages. Again - The implementation of this new Public Messaging will make for a more personable, Community type atmosphere. So enjoy!



You will be notified by the blinking icon in the Your Notications section whenever you have received a new profile message, private message, album comment, etc...

Inline Editing of Profile Field Values ---------------------------------------------------------


The 'About Me' tab of each Member's profile page has edit controls, allowing you to quickly edit information without leaving the profile page!
