Color-Shifting Links (Keep them OR Ditch Them?)

OK YAWL - I have received a review on JPiC from a notable forum expert All seems positive except for one thing that was mentioned several times: The color-shifting links -----> BOLD EXAMPLE OF COLOR-SHIFTING LINK

Comments from the expert...
Quote:
  • Once again the forum topic links do the rotating colors which make them difficult to read....
  • When I hovered over the links the color shifting made the links difficult to read. Actually I later discovered that all the links do this color shifting.
  • Remove the color shifting links

So question for the Community Members: Keep the color-shifting links? OR Ditch them?

hmmmm - on the dark background I think they look pretty kewl AND helps solidify the Poetry in Color aspect of the forum...

they can be a bit distracting and difficult to read on the lighter background though...

I voted: Who cares: whatever.....

I voted to keep them - they're cool because prior to hovering the mouse over the link, all of the links are dark, and one can easily select which link to click on. When one goes to click on the link, then the color-shifting occurs. I personally like watching the colors change.

Naaahhhh MsJ, keep'em! Even on the lighterish backgrounds, they arent THAT hard to read, and like Ms Painted said, they're just plain ol' fun!!

Hey KIM & SERENITY - I agree with you Ladies about the rainbow-links ----> I voted "middle-ground" cause it really doesn't make that much of a difference with me - but I do think they're cool OR I wouldn't have added them LOL

I think it also really "defines" (however subtle...) JPiC = Poetry in Color

Jacquii.

btw - thanx for your comments and such

Hey MsJ! I LIKE the shifting colours! If your "expert" is not a member, then his opinion shouldn't count! Ya gotta go with what your members like - not with what some outsider thinks your forum "should" be like!
