Are You A Novel Reader? [multiple selection poll]

OK - I know a lot of we JPiCans have "reading" written down as our favorite hobby or whatnot... So question - Have you read any good novels lately? Have you read any of the "classics"? The poll question is Which Novel Have You Read - but discussion about good books is appreciated

Jacquii.

So - I've read a few of the great classics - I enjoyed Melvilles Moby Dick lol - really - some thought it was quite boring - but I liked it - hmmm - moving on... My favorite novel of all time has to be Janet Fitch's White Oleander - I've read it about five times actually - It's really good - The movie was horrid though...

I was supposed to have read a few of those listed on the poll in highschool English class - never got around to 'em though - was too busy partying lol

So what about YAWL - which ones have you read and which are your favorites?

Jacquii.

I have so many favorite novels it's difficult to pick my favs. but I'll make a short list on some of them,

I loved "Roots" by Alex Haley I read that one in three days. when I was finished I turned right around and read it all again.

I've read the Harry Potter Books except the last two. I can't wait to start "The Half Blood Prince"

I loved the Lord of the Rings series

I enjoyed the Jean M. Auel's "The Clan of the Cave Bear" series.

I've read ALL of the "Little House on the Praire" books by Laura Ingalls Wilder.

I have over thirty V.C. Andrews books the first one being "Flowers in the Attic"

I could go on and on and on. but you get the idea. Lets all read a good book.

Blessings

Ah YES! VC ANDREWS - I've read all of her books - stopped reading when she passed away though... Loved Flowers in the Attic! Well the series actually - AWESOME!

Dear MsJacquii........ I have recently....just before Harry Potter 7 ...... I read "The Third Secret" by Steve Berry. This was an excellant book. Kept me riveted. It is about the Pope trying to find out about the 3rd secret and what happened to the entire message. Then when finding out.... he sends his secretary to another country where some children are also seeing the vision of the Mother of God and while he is gone the Pope commits suicide. It is an awesome story. A must read I think.
