Biography: I'm a 16 year old a female. Aspiring author. I've been writing poetry for about 3 or 4 years now.

Discrimination(1st draft)

Discrimination isn't just turning away from me because of what you can see

it'n not just going to the next, because he looks the best
oh no

if you look into my eyes
if you talk to my soul

and turn me away because my presence "wasn't right"
Because my voice "didn't fit"
Because my soul "couldn't portray the right image"
YOU HAVE DISCRIMINATED!!!
discrimination isn't just turning away from me because of what you see

Discrimination is keeping me down once you've seen my truth
(but i guess you haven't seen my truth because you refuse to see me)
