Devil May Cry (compo)

I wrote this in Pri 5, I type it up... I linked the game Devil May Cry to my compo, this time round it's much realistic compared to the Legacy of Paradox, here it is :

Devil May Cry (compo version)

Ringing bells was heard, the pupils of Sokushu Secondary were hastening like a pack of hooligans to go home. It had been a tiring day for Lily and friends, which was playing netball. The afternoon sun shone blistering in the sky, the birds were hiding in their nest, the busy bees and ants were also stopping for work because of the killing weather. Almost all the animals and pest in the garden disappeared to nowhere. The poor sweet girls were perspiring heavily while playing, so they decided to have a can of soda, they sent Lily to buy the drinks. But when she turned into the isolated shortcut which was unlikely anyone passed by, she heard voices……

“You lost! That makes twenty-five dollars, pay me before Friday!”

“Brother, calm down, take it easy, continue…”

It was a group of boys from Sokushu Secondary gathering around a mat. Out of curiosity, she tiptoes over to peak at what the boys were doing. She was stunned beyond words and accidentally let out a gasp when she saw money in front of a deck of cards. Immediately she knows that they were gambling. The boys were too engrossed in the gambling that they did not even see Lily sneaking pass them. Unfortunately, a big muscular boy, munching on a pizza was blocking her way. “He…he…, so you found us gambling, but I don’t think you can escape this easily……” the said in a vicious voice. He threatened her and forced her to play with them and be the new member of the ‘Devil Never Cry’ gang. So it turned out that she had no choice but to follow their instructions. Her friends went home as they were impatient to wait for Lily.

Days had gone like a speeding rocket, the frightened feeling of Lily was preventing her to tell the discipline master about the gambling subject. But the matter just keeps getting heavier and heavier on her mind. It was on a particular recess that Lily made a decision to tell the discipline about the gambling gang. She could see the fire in the discipline master’s eyes, he banged his table and ordered to call upon the boys. She recognized some of them, and knows some of their names. It took a few days to trace the gang, but it was just too hard to find all of them, especially the leader which called him ‘King Devil’. No one dares to mention his real name, but luckily, the smart Lily took out a drawing block at the assembly hall, she draw the appearance of the ‘King Devil’ on the spot. Although her drawing is not that nice, there is only one person in the whole school that looked something like the drawing as the 'King Devil' got a big mole on his lower left cheek!

The leader was a class monitor. It was found out that he threatened pupil by pupil, until they all got eventually addicted to gambling, so the group gets bigger and bigger until it reached over 20 members. The discipline master called his parents and all the parents of the gambling-addicts to watch their children more carefully. It was not too late to stop the habit, but if it did not stop it, the case may get serious as they may start to take drugs or alcohols.

The pupils had to do school service for a month and they had to be canned. The painful strokes made the boys cry buckets. So it turned out that ‘Devil May Cry’ also……
