Heaven Vs. HellThe Last Holy War
Heaven was on full Alert. The Angels had intercepted a spiritual transmission between the Ibliss and the Demons. Heaven would again be attacked by Hell.
Jesus had spoken of these days; when Heaven would come under attack from Hell; but no one listened.
Being on a high elevation, Heaven was situated in a strategic location high above Hell's underground bunker. Critics of Jesus' predications were argued by the Saints and the Minor prophets. Not even Hell could successfully bring a fight to the highly fortified Heaven and expect to gain entry, let alone, engage in battle.
Still, Jesus warned that even Heaven was vulnerable.
"What's wrong Jesus?" Arch-Angel GABRIEL asked.
Jesus turned from the window, lowering his M-11.
"I spoke of these times! All of this could have been avoided, GABRIEL. We could have pre-empted a strike against Hell and squashed them in their wicked holes, but now, Hell has become a superpower and a real threat to Heaven's way of life."
Angel GABRIEL'S wings quietly folded and tucked out of sight underneath his massive arms.
"Jesus, do not dwell on that; now is the time to make ready for war. It is said, this war will end all wars and all speakings of wars."
Jesus frowned, but remained quiet.
"Maybe, this is what THE HE (HOLY AND PRAISED IS HE!) wanted all along. Remember, THE HE (BENIFICENT AND MERCIFUL IS HE) is wiser than us all. Your warnings were meant to be ignored as a strategy, so that Hell's spies could report that we are vulnerable. "
Jesus looked up at his spiritual companion and guide.
"Thank you GABRIEL, How prideful I have been! May THE HE (BELOVED AND FEARED IS HE) forgive me for my doubts? That I would even be this way, indicates that they are nearer than we anticipate."
"Do you believe they are closer?"
"I do.", Jesus said, pulling back the slide of his weapon, checking that there was a live round in the chamber.
" Then I will leave you now, my friend. I must gather the Host of Angels to mount a lower defense."Apparently, Hell has recruited enough souls that they could war with us for millennia without a loss of momentum or men."
Jesus grimaced at the thought of the number of souls needed to fight such a long war; That men would deny heaven for a wretched place in hell. But Jesus could not dwell on the motive of man, for he had already come to them before and had even gave his life for their sake, to no avail. Jesus had given up on men, and resolved to defend Heaven from the approach of the spiritual enemy.
"As Salaam Alaaikum, GABRIEL."
"And peace be with you, my friend, and beloved Brother."
To be continued.
