Lavender Outlaw: Wanted Dead or Alive

Lavender Outlaw: Wanted Dead or Alive
You have to be famous to be on a woman's coin ... (Sage Sweetwater)

In the willows by the creek, she laid a bullet in his groin, for assaulting her and stealing her whiskey and Sacajawea dollar coin.
"Have you ever tried to tame a wild woman?" she asked him. "May seem yours for awhile, then one day ... that is the way of wild things."

"They'll be coming for you one day, Lavender Outlaw."

"Do you ever feel like going away?" she asks, his eyes filled with terror, as she moved the gun down.

Before he could pray, the bullet hit his groin, she tossed the Sacajawea dollar coin for a souvenir on his cold unrecognizable.

Soon, the Lavender Law Posse would be crossing the creek and take her away to that place, for she was Wanted Dead or Alive, she bathed him off in the creek with her Cowgirl's Lavender Rose Soap, then rode to the beehive, put it in the Lavender Rose Soap bag, and tossed it behind her to stop the Posse.

She left her horse to drink,
with a few minutes to think,
then rode off never to be seen.

One afternoon, the saloon keeper said he found a lavender coin stamped Lavender Outlaw on a fifty-gallon whiskey keg.

You have to be famous to have made it on a woman's coin.

Wanted Dead or Alive ...

haha - FIERCE

Hey SAGESWEETWATER - I love this piece - I thought it was more of a story so I moved it... But really this has some kinda crazy-serious humor about it. That quote "You have to be famous to have made it on a woman's coin" That is some powerful statement. It ain't easy being any woman.

I'd love to know your motivation/inspiration for writing such a piece - But I think I have somewhat of an idea - Loving the Lavender Outlaw - Some would even venture to say that I myself am somewhat of a Lavender Outlaw - Lavender for royalty of course

At anyrate - Thanx for sharing & again Welcome to JPiC

Jacquii.

MsJacquiiC. In response to your asking what my inspiration was for my writing this story poem, I will tell you that it is the Sacajawea gold dollar coin which inspired me, going with my personal outlaw ways! The canoe carrying Sacajawea and her husband Charbonneau and others crossing the river turned over. Charbonneau was such a pain in the and Sacajawea was the one who retrieved the valuable lost goods such as books, medicines, and food supplies. She deserved to be on the coin long before she was...AND any woman who makes it on a coin is famous! I have this poem posted at other venues and one reviewer thought I meant the Lavender Outlaw put the man's penis in the bag to stop the posse...LOL...NOT, somehow I don't think that would have stopped the posse, do you? I meant it as a very visual, perhaps a scene in a movie from one of my novels, the beehive is what I wanted my audience to picture. Also to let men know that they may be messin' with the wrong woman when they force themselves. Thanks for moving this story poem here. A lot of my poetry is prose, so you be the judge.

I love like everything i've read of yours so far, it seems like everytime you write something it sets a bar for what to expect in your next post..This is my personal favorite as far as quotes go..."Before he could pray, the bullet hit his groin, she tossed the Sacajawea dollar coin for a souvenir on his cold unrecognizable." Itz pretty fun and at the same time one of the very elements that keep you interested in a story...;Thank You

LOL - ' well 'e got his penis lopped right off proper'
Somehow I canactually picture this statement being uttered in a prim&proper way with just a tinge of humor LOL

Nice poem SAGESWEETWATER - Love the inspiration and story behind the motivation -----> I've actually been doing a serious of poems on the unfathomable strength of woman & this poem reminds me of one I wrote about Pocahontas. I may post it a little later - But at anyrate - I enjoyed this read!
