"The Writers of Murder Mysteries."

"The Writers of Murder Mysteries." (Another Mystery Tale...)

The writers of murder mysteries go to a great deal of trouble to keep us guessing right up to the end. In actual fact, people often behave more strangely in real life than they do in Stories.
The following personal notice once appeared in the classified ads of a local Newspaper: "An opportunity to earn U 10.000.00. A man...willing to take chances wanted for an out-of-the-ordinary job which needs to be performed only once and which will take just a few minutes." A reader found this generous offer irresistible and replies to the Post Office Number given in the ad -but being a bit suspicious, he gave a false name. Soon afterwards, he received a reply. Enclosed in the envelope was a typed note instructing him to call a certain number, if he was still interested. He called the number and found out that the man in the ad wanted him to "get rid of somebody" and would discuss it more fully with him the next day. But the man who had replied to the ad got in touch with the Police, and from then on acted under their instructions.
The Police saw the two men meet and watched them, as they drove away together. In the car, the man who had placed the ad came to the point at once: He told the man he wanted him to shoot his wife. The reason he gave was that, he was suffering from an incurable disease and wanted to move to a warmer climate, but his wife objected to this. Giving the man some money, he instructed him to buy a gun and warned him to be careful of the dog which, though it would not bite, might bark a lot and attract the attention of neighbors. He also gave him a photograph of his wife, so that he would be able to recognize her. After that, he suggested that the man "do the job" the next morning. Meanwhile, he would prepare his wife by telling her that a young man was going to stop by the house. After the murder, they would meet again outside a Bus Station, and the money would be paid as arranged. The second meeting never took place, because shortly after this first meeting, the man who had been planning to have his wife murdered was arrested by the Police.
What do the Writers of Murder Stories try to do??...

Dear Erik:
Thank you again, for stopping by and offering your kind comments!! I certainly appreciate them so much. Meanwhile, are you asking me a question, sweetie??...Well, I tell you...
I have so many words, sentences and fixed phrases in my mind, and I know them all by heart. I feel like a Dictionary lately. Bye for now, dear.
Warm Regards, Starry.

haha...he should have asked for references...as in "who have you killed lately?"

Nice outcome though...hopefully the wife got a lot of insurance money when he died from his incurable disease!!

Dear Nomad:
Well, I am lucky tonight. You are reviewing several of my posts. About this one: I guess, it is some kind of joke. Nobody would ever advertize something like that in the Newspapers. The outcome is something different, almost like a practical joke. What do you think?? Nice seeing you around, dear. Good Night!!Hugs, Starry.

Dear Mysty and Nomad:
Well, I tell you...I had to study very hard at College. Our teachers used to give us tons of information to learn by heart, like fixed phrases and things like that. Over long periods of time, I just accumulated knowledge. However, in many instances, I AM NOT THE AUTHOR, telling you the truth. If I sign my name, then I am...I like to share. I wrote a story and posted it in Inspirational Stories. I called it: "THE VIEW FROM THE TOWER." Have you read it??...I would like people to offer their comments on it. It is interesting, I think so. Thank you all for taking your precious time to read and comment!!
Sincerely, Starry.
