JPiC Forum Has Its Spotlight On |
JPiC Forum Proudly Presents a Showcase of Artistry It is our goal to continue celebrating diversity with the typed word until the day the internet is shut down. Yes. We have high hopes that JPiC Forum will last the test of time and beyond.
Keeping that in mind, we are happy to present you with a showcase of our Members' finest works. The writing featured here is handpicked by members of the JPiC Moderating Team from amongst the shares submitted in our poetry & writing forums.
And yes of course... JPiC Forum's most active sections are our poetry forums, yet we do not exclusively welcome poetry submissions. All types of literature is shared here, and as such, we will be mixing it up a bit. You should fully expect to see a wide range of genres & styles in our showcase: poetry, essays, fiction, creative non-fiction, song lyrics, reviews, etcetera... If we like it = We spotlight it! With Members' permission of course.
Sometimes we may overlook a flawless gem of a write. Follow one of the links below if you'd like to recommend a piece be featured here:
We Reward Our Fellow Community Members...
Awards For Actively Posting Members Not only do we want to be recognized for our accomplishments, but we deserve to be acknowledged for them. This is the concept behind the JPiC Awards System.
So if the cliche “It's the thought that counts” holds any validity here, then we are bronze, silver & gold rolled into one stupendous tour de force, and our Members-only awards are trinkets of respect.
We welcome you to become an active participant in our Community so that we may pin your lapel with a little bit of the mutual respect, literary love and admiration which is best when received from a colleague.

I Feel The WindOriginal Poetry By Therese Young-Westby Belisle
I feel the wind
When I dance
Musical tendencies
Gather and ride
The invisible swirl
Of softness
Teasing me
As I turn and twist
Hands reaching
Taunting
Untouchable
Whispers...She glances....

Featured Artist: Jake MinickWe're proud to showcase the writing of JPiC Forum member Jake Minick of Cumberland, Maryland. He generously shares a bit of his creative process with us: "Poetry is a natural outlet for me, as I am inept at expressing my inner thoughts and feelings publicly. When I become creatively active, something sparks and my intuition turns up like an ethereal magnet, searching for things to synthesize."
RevolverOriginal Poetry By Jake Minick
The egotistical tendons tighten
With each intake
of orbiting elements.
In this material waltz of burning fate.
As energies entwine
A light shines,
Warming the bodies.
Their dreams wrestle in a playful hate....

Featured Artist: Jonathan KhareJPiC Moderator Jonathan Khare has decided to share with us a bit of information you will not find on his JPiC Profile. He's been writing for quite some time now and says of his stuff that, "Poetry for me was born out of silence, emerged out of a confused haze and became a passion, a voice!"
The ShrinkOriginal Poetry By Jonthan Khare
His Office,
a case study in the fine art of minimalism.
Sparsely furnished in antique Victorian furniture,
gleaming, polished to a blinding shine,
yet as cold as the late Queen in her ornate tomb.
His Patient,
Sniveling, whining, adding to the aura of misery....

And I Was SoberOriginal Poetry By Jacquii Cooke
The sky opened up earlier today
and sprinkled a delicious rainbow
into my mind. The colours were
dizzying, the greens and yellows
so vibrant, a kaleidoscope of utopia.
I nearly came in my pants.
And I was sober.
But it's dark now....
