Hearts Homes

Hearts Homes

those innocent of worldly ways
traipsing blithely through life
ever darkening shadows appear
to blot the face of humanity

"where ist thine God" is what is thought
inside the hearts of more than one
as pain and loneliness rains down on those
daring to quest for more answers

crisp air as summer slides into fall
one longs to belong inside homes of one and all
at the hearth of every heart
where love is born and laughter is in eyes

tears don't dare to fall upon the altar
of happiness, the delight of living God's word
family is the warmth of ice cream on
apple pie, shared bites of being home

as darkness and the evil within
shy away keeping to the outskirts
not sharing the faith...or keeping the hearth
warm with love and laughter belonging

hence the longing abounds in hearts
of more than one to find a home
of love and laughter, peace and forever
no more restlessness nor need to roam

Mysty,
This is a beautiful poem. I'm sure a great deal of thought went into it. It left me with a warm feeling like there's a fire place glowing here beside me and a cat curled up on a rug purring with comfort. Outside some cat lives in the stormy street looking for food, scared of the warmth that home has to offer.

Mysty,

This is a beautiful poem and I loved the message that it represents. the only thing that bothered me is how small the type is I had to put my old eyes right up to the screen to read..hehe

you found a way to take a well known yet little known snippet from God's book of anecdotes and weave a tapestry in pictures for the minds eye

Dear Mysty,

I read this several times and with each read my heart and soul were covered with warmth and happiness poured through. I love when artists take concepts that may be taken for granite or not necessarily spoken upon, and scribed about. This poem was an intricate weaving of sorts, and allot of love went into it, and it radiates. It also speaks of hope and the message loud and crystal clear that that love and laughter does exist for those who recognize it, whether in big or small doses. This reads like a classic Mysty and is exquisitely memorable. Thank you for this, and I will come back to read when I feel out of sorts. This poem will surely spark the light I need. Excellent rating Mysty!

Love Ya,

Kim
