Living in the Present
Living in the present and letting go of the past
will make me happier and full of love at last.

Sharing a smile and offering help will brighten
my light as God speaks to me and makes my life
worthwhile.

Knowing just what he wants me to do by
helping another will prove my love for you.

God is the great "I Am" just as he shares
his title with us; we must live for the moment
and forget about the past.

The first two lines sum up the entired poem and a philosophy I wish a lot of people would follow, including myself! Life is hard enough as it is without constantly looking over our shoulders at what has already happened. It's why we are constantly tripping over obstacles life places in our path.
