Well, I got halfway through this at 1:00AM and decided to retreat and attack with more gusto this morning....not "attack" in it's original intentioned meaning, of course, but it was so intriguing that I wanted to be fresh when attempting to decipher it.
Dancing through times and eons and ages and centuries and millennia
As you and I move through time, we displace cosmic winds
We shall always remain; our energy force indestructible
Unsusceptible to time and element
We are the circle that encompasses all things
This paints such a clear picture of larger than life "gods" if you will, moving through the cosmic realm at will, as if through an ocean miles deep, displacing all in their path and forging new ones from the displacement itself. All powerful forces, two halves of a whole...coming together to decide the destiny of mankind...
Well to say the least, it's a setting that moves me, who has always been fascinated with Greek mythology - these two lines below personify the very arrogance of the "gods" who were purported to be as selfish as toddlers and had temper tantrums to go with it...Zeus, or Odin (Norse ruler of gods) etc, etc....take your pick...I can see these words pouring out of their mouths:
And give to them those fleeting instruments of their own demise
It is we who hear their false supplication to the skies
...and to the question of who is greater - I say the original Creator...as outlined by your very words below, who DID...
Speak into existence a universe
And bear witness as I give birth to moons and suns
Lighting the skies with stars
Anyway...that's just what I took away from this very grand panorama of poetry...absolutely brilliant write!!
