you could be a starlink......
that i never gazed apon....
you could be a sky that is clearer then i've ever known....
you could wrap my heart in the gold of you.....
and maybe...
this lonely life wouldnt matter then..
just maybe, i could be loved againe....

i have fought a battle..
and came out worse then i went in....
you can see the weakness in the lines on my face...
you can hear the sorrow in the words that i speak...
for i spent each night,
for years on end....
alone and crying, feeling my heart break....
i longed for a healing... a mending of sorts....
but my days went on in struggle and toil....

i know that i'm not alone with this strife....
i know that many have had this plight...
and many are still in search for release...
it's just a matter of an open ear....
open arms...
then we may dream of healing...

my freind..
dont just expect someone to listen....
you know the struggle...
and if you see another...
in the same pain as you...
reach out and share.....
relate what you are going through...
listen to thier saddness....
solice you will find...
through the fellowship of your fellow humanity....
the fellowship of mankind

Hiya Phil ... been there and done that..... but I still see and recognize the struggle...... I DO do my part to help where and when I can. I have many friends....and to them all I am a beacon.. but I am also an empath... and when an empath is in the midst .... all that pain.... she or he feels it too ..... I mean FEELS it like it was their own. They draw the pain away from the original feeler..... The reason why so many people don't listen or hear is because they learned how to shut down.. I never could learn that. You wrote with eloquence the struggle we all face .. day to day .. and some never make it out of that hole. I managed...... barely but I did it. Now I help others too. You are truly gifted young man and you will always have the words left if everything else is gone. That is one thing you can truly call your own. And there is all of us here. We are your poetry family. Thank You for a really wonderful open and dead on read. Excellent work.
