The conflict rages though my head
Between my thoughts,
My dreams,
My fears.
Should I back down?
Should I race on?
I do not know,
But life goes on.

I glance at him,
It makes me sad.
What can I do?
I glance at him,
He glances at me.

No one wants
To make the first move
No one wants to be hurt again.

He hurt me so badly,
Yet for a different reason.
He thought I loved him.
I thought I trusted him.

The misunderstandings
Block the thick space between us.

I won’t say a thing.
He won’t say a thing.

And yet…we move on.
