I wrote this one 8 yrs. ago when my daughter was born.
You're the bundle of life
we hold in our arms,
the gift of love
delivered only to us.
This joy and happiness is
more, much more,
than our hearts can hold.
Our soul,
cannot measure
the feeling of pleasure;
our treasure.
You have been given to us
to protect, teach truths,
and to learn from,
until you gain your own
wings and fly.
So soft to touch
so beautiful,
you are our miracle
bundle of life.
A life that is so wonderful,
so very tiny.
My glorious being,
so tiny,
two pounds, one ounce.
Blue eyes,
pink and precious.
A tear, a sigh,
a smile, a cry,
a joyous gift,
oh my, oh my.
Eyes, ears,
fingers toes,
elbows, knees,
mouth and nose.
A miracle, a blessing
so innocent,
so beautiful,
my "Sarah" baby.

Thanks so much for your comment.
Although my daughter is 8 now, she is certainly a handful and a half. Yet I still feel like new mommy. I will always treasure that bundle of life I held for the first time.
My dear Sally: I had to come to your beautiful Tribute to your bundle of joy, your little daughter Sarah. Your words are sweet Inspirations that come from your precious heart. You´ve made me feel like a new mom this day. I remember my daughter when she was born, 28 years ago...She was so precious, blonde, blue eyes, very fair white skin with the most wonderful smile...Thank you, sweet Sally, for sharing your lovely Poem, a real treasure from your heart!! I am sure, you make a woman feel like having a baby again. This is what I feel now. I miss holding a baby in my arms again. I love the title, and every single word of it. BRAVO POET!! Hugs. Sincerely, Starry.
I can remember when Sarah was so tiny. (2 pounds one ounce) (born two months two soon.) Healthy as a horse so to speak. with no complications of any kind.
A bundle of love. I couldn't believe it when she was born. It's a very long story how she came to be in this world, but I will make it brief.
I found out I was pregnant only twelve days before she was born. no movement no warning no way did I know I was going to have a baby. My hubby had, had a tied off vesectimy for over twenty years, and we had been married for ten years before Sarah came along.
Now that she is 8. I miss the infant I had so long ago.
I tell ya what, If I wasn't 51 years old I'd have another one. LOL

Dear Sally,
This was truly beautiful. I was moved by this piece. It must be a feeling with no words to describe. I cannot have children, and sometimes ponder on the very feelings you have scribed here, and what it would be like. So thank you for allowing me to "feel" through your words. Made me a little misty. Loved this Sally and thank you for sharing. An excellent rating!
