Omega Woman
S leeping beauty wakes in horror
to find herself
costumed as Snow White.
The prince is white faced
red sores and worms
wiggle to kiss.
White screams,
runs through a thicket
eyeballs dart as birds
to paintball target.
She courses path of ruins
to a small village,
checks in, signs
Juliette Capulet cast as Omega woman.
She bolts the doors,
changes to something revealing,
pours a drink
and sits on the balcony.
Tears run down her face
as she as she snaps the cartidge
into the Beretta automatic.
A wishing well centers court below
statue to a littered fairytale.
Brooms lie burnt
as worn torches to light city nights.
A copy of Seventeen
flips pages in dry gusts
to desert a scene.
White extinguishes a cigarette
and waits for nightfall.
