Biography: Tirty-seen year old mother of three (two grown now) boys, poet and witch. I love nature, magic and the mystery of life. There's no greater adventure than the one we're on, and no more exciting time than now!

A Study in L

A Study in L

Luminous letters lilt-
Lessening life's lament,
Lifting lackadaisical love,
Lending life levity.

Living letters,
Like leavening loaves-
Lure liminal larks
Like lighted lamps.

Lush letters
Lavish learning
Like Luna
Ladles light.

Lovely letters,
Littered like leaves,
Lend luminaries
Lives like layered lotus'.

Biography: Jacquii Cooke is a 32 year old Black Poet from Oak Ridge, Tennessee. As Webmistress of Poetry in Color Forum, she is devoted to the more abstract styles, especially those with a strong feminine voice that center around the topic of redemption and righting the wrongs of past transgressions.

Ha! That's a lot of "L"
Wow - That was a fierce flexing of poetic dexterity, all in tribute to L
AND it has a decent subject matter that intrigues as well.. I'm afraid I wouldn't enjoy it spoken - because all that L would get on my last nerve. But it IS quite fascinating to SEE it on paper.

Nice = Thanx for posting it

Jacquii.

Thank you, Moonchild! I like them too, I did one in M once that was yummy...I think I'd re-do it before posting here...lol, and that's if I could find it! Sometimes aliteration can get tricky if you're trying to keep it clean. Thank you for reading and taking time to comment!
