A Tear for Humanity
A Tear for Humanity
A simple tear
within itself is the key,
that holds the secret
to our humanity.
Through hurt and pain
love remains
the single moment in time
our hearts are not sane
If we could all remember
that beneath it all
we are the same
red blooded humans
with beating hearts in us all.
Outside; two eyes that cry
ten fingers and toes,
born young
and with luck we'll grow old.
Our hearts are not sane
through hurt and pain
the single moment in time
that love remains
A simple tear
within itself is the key,
that holds the secret
to our humanity.

Dear Mysty,
I love the message weaved through and the repetitive lines emphasize that message. Yes, beyond all, we all bleed red. In every tear holds a story of each and every one of us. Awesome nice write Mysty!

Hello Mysty!
Yeah, I know what you mean by views to comments, but this is my first time viewing your poem and I just had to comment on it.

Wow, this first stanza had me thinking, I read it quickly but took a moment after I read it to analyze what it was saying. I can't agree more with what it is saying though, showing emotions and crying is a beautiful thing, and is a kind of key to the lock that holds humanity.
And, I can't agree more that underneath it all, no matter what, we are all the same. 10 toes and fingers, we all cry, and that we all have beating hearts. So, I couldn't agree with you more that all of us are the same. My favorite stanza was the one I pointed out above, but I overall enjoyed reading this poem. Altogether, I'm glad I came across this poem and thank you for sharing!
