I opened my eyes this morning, gratefully, to the birth of a new day.
First, I gave thanks to Almighty God for His mercy, I slept very well.
I was able to rise from my bed, two feet I put upon the floor, I say.

Though special, I am not, some who went to sleep, peacfully, in death they fell.
Only His mercy spared me, this day, to serve my God in another way.
My cup is full with the living water, He owns my heart, with Him I dwell.

I know I am but dust, yet, I can depend upon His grace, and in His loving arms I lay.
I accept the Word of God the Bible, those words, others I will expel.
His love has turned the darkness into bright light, for this I will not stray.

He has promised much, His words are pure, as the morning sun, I won't rebel.
Jesus Christ, was a ransom for our sins, and for that how can I betray.
I look at all the wondrous things given, true beauty as a seashell.

The sun shines, rain falls, greens, trees and flowers grow, spices, herbs, whatever may.
A beautiful rose, grows and blossoms, while God's earth produces the morel.
So much we have, and yet some hearts grow greedy, one day we will have to pay.

Jehovah sees us enjoying His creations, our hearts with joy should swell.
Thanks, Heavenly Father, for your Love, Mercy, Grace, now and everyday.

Beautifully said MrsMajor. ... such devotion is something a lot of us aspire too. Some days I think there are fewer who do aspire to such grace.
