Tiger’s Cry: Dear Anna,

Have you ever met the perfect person in a time of personal turmoil?
It’s like life’s waves are rumbling, they’re ferocious
Love-you and me. Our chemistry
Is the little excited child ready to run into waves and swim and enjoy the the marvels of nature
But of course those waves are dangerous.
It could kill.
Sucking that innocent child under the water, and no mater how hard he kicks or how long he holds his breath
He will grow tired and the force of the waves empowers his little fragile body.
And quickly, like a fish taken out the water, his legs grows weary
He dies.
We die
Love dies.
Have you ever met the perfect mate at the wrong time in your life
You know that person that gives you that sense of security, hope, dreams
That person that turns a rather normal life into an enchanted fairy tale?
Baby, right now I am held romantically hostage by circumstance.
I can promise
our time will come.
when those waves calm down and the ocean is steady, and predictable
Those waves,
They’re my problems:
Divorce. Career. Deployments. Shotgun Pregnancy
Past relationships. Responsibilities. Money. Children
Our love, our bond, the feeling we feel when we are amongst each other
Making love
Laughing
Bonding
Opening up our inner selves to an intense exchange of spiritual, not merely the ever so common physical affection
That is the child
The ocean is our lives, both, separately and together
And that someone waiting to save our love if we drown
That’s time. Patience. Honesty. Understanding. Kindnes.
It is true!.
I love you.
But I’ve been hurt, I am being hurt now, and I will be hurt tomorrow
I need to deal with me.
My life would be quicksand. We would sink!
You see, my lady
I am a man, and sometimes, even when Mrs.Right is ready and willing to stand by my side and carry me through this rough unsteady unpredictable time in my life
I need
I want
I must
Get through this alone and learn, grow, and become a better man for me
And in the future, for you as well
You see my life is chaotic and difficult right now. And, although you are willing, I am not willing to bring you, us, my sweetheart, in this turmoil. We could not withstand everything that is going on with me right now. I can not be your man and take care of you, my lady, the way I want to and eventually the way I will, when my life is in uproar. I am not capable. I want to be good to you. I want to treat you like the queen you are and I can’t without resources and a peace of mind. I can not take care of you , if I can’t even take care of myself right now. We are not strong enough, we have not been through enough, no matter how hard we try, we could not beat all that’s going on in my life right now. We would end up dead. Over. And our romance, it would cease abruptly like everything else in my life right now. I do not want that for us.

Comika...this is a very true rendition of some of today's relationships...such deep emotional upheavals that you traverse in this one...it is truly a gem! The Imagery is masterful as well...using the child to represent the problems....

But, how on earth will a man figure out when his "emotional" baggage is properly stored and locked away and he's ready for a relationship? lol! Seems like it would be a waste of time waiting for someone who has you RIGHT in front of him, and he's prevaricating about it!

Its crazy how this came to me. A very dear friend of mine was crying everyday for about a week over Tiger (her guy friend). They started this romance that just seemed so confusing and unstable. She fell in love with him. I took it upon myself to talk to him and see where his mind was and what his intentions were for her. That was how he was feeling in so many words. I wrote it for both of them. I don't know if I would wait for Tiger. A male friend of mine once told me that if a man wants you, he wants you. Nothing will hold him back if he wants you bad enough. I am a strong believer in "Love conquers all"! Seems like bull to me, but I hope that Tiger was sincere. if not he has really good "game"!

Miss Comika - I'm glad that Tiger wasn't in your life...lol! Yes, the one thing we can always count on is that guys do know when they are interested in you or not...and when they give excuses like this then it's just to "let you down easy".
