Hiya folks This here is a collaboration of Art and Myself.
He had the initial first two stanzas and asked me to change, rewrite however I wanted and then add to it. So first I will show his original lines. Then The Poem that resulted from his words and mine.
Arthur's Original
Tears run down His cheeks
Tears that no one else sees
Thoughts of loneliness
Cooled and dried
Feeling the ocean breeze
Come ashore
As her soft fresh air
Wiped the tears away
~
A memory etched so delicately
In the emotions of her mind
Remembering the first time they met
The first time seeing him
Walk across the dance floor
Greeting her soul
Embracing her soul
With a kiss on her hand
Asking for a dance
Finished Version
Too Late
Inconsolable thoughts of loneliness
as unseen tears run down His cheeks;
soon cooled and dried as the Ocean's
Zephyr comes ashore, fresh sea air
that wipes away his tears.
His thoughts drift offshore
as a memory is so delicately etched
from emotions of her that graced his mind.
The first time they met,
eyes to eyes across the dance floor,
the unbreakable stare
as he walked towards her.
With a gallant kiss upon her hand
he led her to the floor
and his embracing arms
greeted her innocent soul.
Memories of that first love
haunt like no other ever did.
She's the one that got away
because he never understood
like he now knows he does.
He had been the one to leave
swearing that the sea
was calling him home.
She followed him out to sea
on foot, never to be seen again.
Now his sorrowfull eyes are drawn
offshore, seeing her in the breeze.
Too late he found out
that home was in his heart
and she was the one
that his heart called home.

Dear Mysty,
You have intricately taken Art's fantabulous words as a template of sorts and added your Magic Mysty Stardust. I love your works as they are stellar, and this is no different. You added image, grace, and each line can dance on their own. Truly truly a masterpiece here. as I would expect no less from you Mysty. I did not even blink. The flow was exceptional as well as the execution, choice of words, the placement of words and etc., all added just the right ingredients and imagery. A remarkable storem (story + poem). Each stanza is a poem in itself and would make a lovely trio of ocean paintings. Once again you have outdone yourself Dear Mysty. I still "feel" the poem. That's it! You placed me there at this Oceanic Love affair. Bravo! Excellent rating! Going in my favorites right now! and I mean EVERY WORD I SAY!
Great Collab!

Mysty and Art, this is so awesomely mournful and full of love and regret that it pains the heart. Oh for love lost, never to be found again...when the other is gone and it's so hopeless. I love happy endings so this ending hurts. You have so seamlessly merged your wording with Art's that there is no telling where one begins and the other ends. It's as if one thought conjured up this delightfully smooth creation. I think the collab should definitely continue...lovely!! triple

Mysty...I am speechless. You my dear have taken a framed canvas added color and imagery to what makes a rose garden look beautiful. Your words are the blooming of a budded rose and the fragrance, the scent that draws one near wanting to lean over and smell the rose.
I want to do this again.
And to all of you here our family...we are all family, Thank You for your wonderful comments.
