Hey gang, I'm back! For those of you who don't know me, I wrote poems such as the likes of "Grander Values", "The Tunnel", "Sticks and Stones", and "no name." I can't tell you where I've been, but at least I'm not there anymore. Here I am, here I shall remain (hopefully).

So this is one of the latest pieces by yours truly, and after battling with what would and what would not be fit for the title, I've settled with "A Chicken."
    Enjoy!

Why didn't the chicken cross the road?
Maybe his feathers weren't all white
Maybe the color of his shirt wasn't right
Maybe he wasn't up for a fight
Perhaps he didn't fit into the crowd
    Perhaps he just wasn't allowed
    Perhaps he was too proud
He could have crossed the road
And he never would have known
That his life would then be sewn
Into a cloth of solid colour
Where he would lose all of his brothers
And he would be like every other
    But this chicken didn't cross
By doing so, he never lost
    That which guided him home
That which he had always known
    That which was his mother
