    A Peregrine Falcon circled,
    mountain escape below
    alone on wind glided
    in confident balance.

    His gold wings carved
    against silent skies
    my attention satisfied
    a revelation to sense.

    He changed path,
    over head flew, fading way
    on westward passage.
His likeness shinned in my eyes.

    I searched for feather
    below his flight path
    something to hold and keep,
    but nothing remained,

    except the treasure
    of his beauty
    to seed my imagination
    and renew my wonder.

    Thank you Anna and Bear,

Yes he is a beautiful bird. He comes around now and then, but every time he steals my attention. His fight is amazingly smooth. I love to watch him.
