The moon is dark and silent
    The tricks asleep in bed.
Yet here I stand with my face to the stars
And the wind playing at my back.

There's a call on the wind
    That tugs at my ears.
    Brings tightness into my throat...
There's a scent on the air
    That slides under my skin
Begging that I loose hat and coat.

"Run" Calls the wind and so then I do
Pounding my feet on the ground.
"Come" calls they Wyld so here I come
With love and with joyous howl.

    There are whispering trees
    That call out my name
Bringing heartbreak here in my eyes
There's the scent of the Enemy
    Closing up fast
So I turn and at last I do Rise.

Out come the claws, and out come the teeth
Out comes the Rage I've held back
Down comes my fury to dig into the hide
Of the Wyrm-spawn that Gaia regrets.

Here in this forest I make my stand
And here is where enemies shall fall.
Here where my Pack takes up the howl
Where the Sept can hear our Call.

There's a call in the sound
That rings out from my throat
    Bringing victory into the air
There's a scent on the wind
    That slides under our skins..
"The Wyrm has not beat us yet."

    good story,

I found it had a good call to it,
    as far as appeal,
the action you created is good but the description around it is excellent and crucial

    I really enjoyed this poem it really made me concentrate and visualize as I read on. The content just makes me think that when people mention poems and poetry this is the type of poem I think of that just seems abstract and has many deep interpretations to it that make you wanna read it over and over just to see if you can think of more stuff to take from it. lovely, lovely poem...Thank You;

Sealiah, this was awesome! Reminded me so much of the "wolf pack" running at night...reaching for the moon...changing uncontrollably from man to beast, following their leader...pretty cool. It brings to mind some books that I love to read. Thanks for posting this one...capturing the very essence of the "oneness" with nature that RULES...

I'm not a gamer, but this almost make me wanna go check some out....hehe!

    Dear Sealiah,

I heard the pounding, I heard the claws come out, I heard the call upon the wind...only thing is...I heard MY NAME. as you placed us there. I smelled the chase, trhe danger....the imagery was phenomenal Sealiah. This also made me think of Darwin and his Natural Selection and Survival of the Fittest. What it comes down to is that this is all about Nature really, and your pen. I cannot thank you enough.
