    "An Eagle Soars"
    ~
A gentle breeze bears a sweet lavender scent
Its fragile whisper drifts through the window
    Like an ageless, mystical spirit
    Manipulating the candle's flame
    ~
Soft shadows dance, waltzing in the candlelight
    Silhouettes in a loving embrace
As he listens to the symphony of nature,
Cleansing his dark soul in streams of moonlight
    ~
His eyes gaze upon the petals of lilacs
Spread upon the soft, silk sheets
The breeze makes the heavy wood door squeaks,
As it sways on it’s worn, brass hinges.
    ~
Exhausted breaths shatters the ambiance of loneliness
Easing into a regular rhythm of tormented illusions
    Eclipsing the borders of reality
As parched chapped lips whisper fractured prayers
    ~
As a meandering clouds casts darkness across the world,
The changing wind quells the candle's flame
    Languishing in his falling hand
    A single Crimson Rose
    ~
Beneath the hot sun or a violent rain storm,
Is a majestic spirit, so serene, so elegant.
The eagle soars gliding through the air
    With it’s beautiful noble spirit
    Illuminated by lustrous beams
An eagle soars under the moon
    Protecting it’s native tribe[/SIZE]

    Bear: WOW!!
As the eagle soars! A magnificent bird of prey. You have captured her as she is. A wonderment of nature.

The imagery was flawless. The style and structure was superb! I must say it is indeed a must re-read. It's one of my favorites of yours.

Thanks for sharing this fabulous poem!

    Blessings
