    Chanting selfish supplications,
    dumb, numbed,
    wretched bleating sheep,
    grazing pastures desolate.

    The Godhead, The Maker,
    crushed into innumerable fragments
like the turf that clothed the Savannas.
To each beast his own Godhead to feed on
    and in turn be consumed.

A God for the greedy and one for the glutton.
One for the prejudiced and yet another for the corrupt,
making each beast a sharp horned Ram.
Prone to attack at the slightest provocation
    spurred on by their idols,
    Destruction, Chaos and Pandemonium.

The Sun covered in vile phlegm,
    light in short supply.
Few seek and even fewer find.
    The earth hurtling towards oblivion
or back to the womb of the creator

    To be reborn.....

ahhhhhhhh... (refreshing sigh, like on sprite commercials); it's like hearing a new Tool song. i may come back to rant about this again later but, for now, i'm just appreciative of the sustenance. well, it's not really sustenance i get though, i guess, more like a cleansing; as if you pulled out some of the sludge weighing on my balance with your resonating message......eh......

I'm glad you find anything in this poem and as far as what I get out of it, I'm overwhelmed by the bleakness of it all however I do find hope in the last line .. We are infact on the path to self destruction and somehow I find solace in the fact that the climax to this journey though a bleak end is still welcome ...
