    [F]It's Christmastime and carols, fill,
    The crisp, cold nighttime air,
    The snow, now gently falling,
    Forms a blanket, everywhere.

Bright lights, cling to houses, trees,
    And buildings 'long the street,
    People carrying parcels,
    Exchange greetings, when they meet.

The lingering smell of wood smoke,
    Kindles memories from the past,
    A moment to be savored,
How I Wish all this would last.

    Inside now, smelling cookies,
As you take them, from the oven,
Mixed and rolled, cut and dropped,
    Baked with lots of lovin'.

A tree with presents 'neath it,
    So befitting of the season,
    A manger on the mantle
To remind us of the reason.

    That I enjoy this Christmastime,
    So much is very true,
but what would Christmas be for me,
if it were not for you.?

You fill my life at Christmastime,
And each day of the year,
You fill my heart with so much love,
You’re all that I hold dear.

    If I have 50 Christmases
    Before this life is through,
I only want that many if,
I spend them all with you.[/FONT]

    Ronbliss,

I love this poem and how you captured, not only the feeling and memories of Christmas, but also the feeling of sharing that special time of year with someone you love. Very nice!

    Dear Ron,

This gave me the vision of a couple wrapped in a blanket, baking cookies, apple pie scented candles burning, light snow is falling, listening to Christmas music, and simply enjoying the season and each other's company. Just lovely. I am very much festive now from reading this. Loved it!! You have captured Christmas in the poem. Thank you for sharing. Take Care.

    PaintedDiary,
Much of my poetry is written from my mind and the heart of someone else, not true life ventures. This was a page from my very own painted diary. This is my life. Thank you for reading and responding.
