    Don't you just hate
    the cooler season's
    static cling?

    Fuzzy, flying loose
    tendrils tickling,
    driving you nuts
    with the urge to
    endlessy scratch.

    Sniffles clogging,
    and constantly
    running from
    your sore pink nose.

    Then you yell
    "But I Got my flu shot"
    as you climb under
    warmed covers and shiver,
    with teeth chattering,
    making such a din.

    Bones aching deep
    within captured by the chill.
    Being told your old
    just because you don't
    like the cold.

    Pollen and dust
    flying in the glare
    of winter's sunshine.
    You try to clean but
    it only clings.

    Don't you just hate
    the cooler season's
    static cling?

    Absolutely yes LOL

    The frustration is palpable. I'm sure you had fun writing this poem and it shows. Kinda light. Kinda airy. But a testimony towards the frustration that Mother Nature sometimes gives her peoples.

    Nice write though = I enjoyed it. Thanks for the sharing :yes:

    Testify Sister! You've captured the seaon right there. I loved every word, lol. Your nose runs and when it doesn't it itches (like it does when you have your hands in a sink full of dishes...). Get under the covers to warm and toss them back to cool off. (Hmmm, that one could also be a hot flash...) Sneezing and coughing (we women know what happens when that happens too often...)
    Now let's address that 'old' thingy. We all know those young whipper-snappers have no idea what old is. Just wait until they're our age and see how old they are, lmao.
    Light-hearted approach to the season coming on fast, lol. My biggest complaint is tendrils of my hair clinging to the brush as I'm trying to tame them down, lol.
    Loved it much, Sis!
