This is something very short but effective that I wrote a while back, my girlfriend and I often have sessions of writing...

    Cheers

1st - Welcome to JPiC - Feel free to look around and become part of the COMMUNITY

2nd - WHOA! Nice imagery in this short piece MATTO - The 1st image I got from this piece was a vivid one of Jesus - LOL - Don't ask me why - Well the sandals bit and the unsaid lonesomeness that this poem speaks of...

Anyway - Very nice 1st share for the Community!
Thanx for sharing it and welcome.

I like it. Nice choice of words. It's short, but long enough to make you think on what it's really about.

I agree. I loved it! The imagery lends itself to tease the audience with just enough, before one draws their own inferences. Great Job!!

That was great. You do a lot with so "little". I say "little" with quotations because as soon as any reader finishes the second line, they should realize how perfectly infinite and complete the statement is.

I thought the cool thing about this piece is the imagery that comes to mind. An exposed toe is almost dangerous. Anything can happen, it can get stepped on, something can spill and splat, there goes that toe.

You did say a lot with so little words. You left the reader pondering.

    Well done, Matto!

He sure did. It's an excellent short piece. :)

On a not so related note, it reminded me that I stubbed my toe at the beach last weekend.
