    I can't let him go
I'm not even sure what keeps me here
    Am I to nice?
    Thats just what they say
I don't want to be alone
    But I am alone
He doesn't plan anything with me
Or show any type of feelings
    And I love him anyways
I tell myself to run away
And when I get close to doing it
    I fall
    I always fall
With broken life and blood around me
    I continue falling

And this is how I continue living

Hey LEE-ANN - I can soooo relate to this poem - I'm sure we've all had similar experiences - Thing is - I wrote a similar poem - but the theme of my poem is quite different from yours - The last line is "and again - I caught him. Yes." --- or some such LOL - But anyway- you're poem kinda struck a nerve within, as seems like people shouldn't have to go through so much - to simply LOVE....

Sometimes - I do tend to hum Tina Turner's most recognizeable "What's Love Got To Do With It"

At anyrate - thanx for the sharing ;)

Very nicely done Lee-Ann...if you going to keep it up though, you need to learn the proper way to fall so you don't break any bones.

hmmm...maybe we should write a piece together...if i had a woman that loved me that way, she would have to beat me away with a broom. i was just having a discussion with a friend about the piece i did called gentle is the hand. someone knowing me better than anyone and loving me anyway would give me a value beyond measure.

It's sad really. I don't know why this kind of thing doesn't bother people more.

So don't think you're not a treasure. There are not many out there like you, or so it would seem. I hope i find one of them.

Oh but it does. We're just desensitized so that when we do say "Hey you! WTF" - it just doesn't seem to penetrate the conscience of those that would or could care. Because they have effectively been desensitized too.... It's sad really.

Hmmm...I kinda wish you really would run away. I hate to think of anyone wasting their love on anyone who doesn't appreciate it. Just think...there might be someone out there to love you, but if you don't dump the crap that's in your hand right now, how will you leave it empty to receive better?

I like the emotional impact of the piece, though. A story I've heard again and again, and I'm usually the first one to say "leave", but of my two friends in the situation, only one has had the courage to dump the "player" who always leaves her home and runs around with other women. I wonder how good looking, smart, creative, wonderfully spirited women get into a situation like that? Is it a case of gradually boiling the frog slowly so that it don't notice it's being cooked (therefore doesn't try to get away) as opposed to just dumping it in boiling water where it would jump out of quickly?
