My momma didn’t tell me much just to have common sense and always to take care of myself I ignored both in a chaotic chase toward something beyond the mundane always thinking that just around the corner is the next level of reality that fire which seems so prevalent at the moment was fizzled and damn near extinguished by the intervallic floods of excess and barren desserts of regret now I sit with it burning in my chest like it never left how can something so cherished be so easy to forget or lose connection with I feel clean when it washes over me like I’m finally myself again and not just pretending
