    Breath of morning- chilling cold
    The turning days of fall,
Confetti leaves of red and gold
    Cascade the garden wall.

    Breeze of evening- night unfolds
    A pink October sky,
    Across the distant meadow
A flock of geese fly by.

    Brisk of twilight- curtains drawn
    There sits a lonely loon;
She sings again her lonely song
    Beneath a harvest moon.

    Dear Forestdawn,
Ooooo, this Autumn delight is soooo nice, crisp as those leaves, and airy. Makes me think of a very nice viosion of me coming out of my kitchen, leaving my house, and going into someone else's kitchen to eat their fresh-baked apple pie. LOL!! Seriously though, a quite lovely, and very aesthetic read!!!

    Thank You

Fresh-baked apple pie? If you liked "Harvest Moon" then sink your teeth into the next thread I posted called "It Always Smelled Like Cinnamon" It will make your taste buds swell up and drool down your chin.

    Thanks again

I like this...if there's one thing about rhyming poems itz that if they're are done right they flow smoothly and speak powerfully...I haven't seen this style in some time but I love it and realize the work that goes into finding things that rhyme, make sense, and with hole the flow these poems have....Your work is truly lovely poet; Thank you

Hi FORESTDAWN - This is a beautiful write. Reminds me of Autumn in Tennessee

It has a type of somber tone to it though. Loneliness is very apparent.
I tend to hope the loon finds someone to sing with her.

At anyrate - Thanx for sharing
    beautiful piece

    Jacquii.

    Greetings: King Ace and Jacquii:

Thank you for your greatly appreciated comments.
They are very thoughtful. I try to write poems that touch the heartstings of the readers, and when I`ve done that, I`ve completed my job. :)

    Thanks again
    Blessings
