    I Am Woman

    I am a woman
    not just a wife
    I am a mother
    not just a person.

    I am a woman
    not a Ho
    I am a lady
    not a bitch

    I like being bad
    but I am not criminal
    and when I am bad
    I‘m very good.

In the bed we are equals
    in all our desires
    but do not call me
    a female dog in heat.

    This would cool me
    down swifter
    than it would take you
    to serve your own interests.

    I love sex too
but that does not make me a slut,
    a ho, a nympho, a succubus
    or a cocktease.

    If you want me then
treat me like a lady in public
    but always remember too
that, at all times, I am a woman.

    LOVE THIS POEM MYSTY!

I always love pieces that are positively self-affirming for the Female and this poem is right on point! Of course me being the freek that I am (always a woman though :blush2: ) had to highlight the "sex" stanza - I love how you continued the phrase to the very end of that stanza - Nice use of the word "succubus" LOL --- That is a perfectly poetic word if ever there is such a thing LOL

Anyway - very nice write! Enjoyed it very much!
    Thanx for the sharing ;)

    Jacquii.

hi sandra ... "i am woman hear me roar!"

as a tireless and almost fanatical supporter of the rights of women and children ... i heartily endorse everything said about this piece ...

it makes no excuses and leaves me as a man in no doubt that you are proud not only of your womanhood but also your femininity ...

    luv this verse ...

    "I like being bad
    but I am not criminal
    and when I am bad
    I‘m very good."

    great poem and ...

    luv ya!

    Mysty,

This is great. It's honest and to the point. Your openness and confidence as a lover is an attractive attribute. It gives the poem an heir of femininity that does not bend to masculine stereotyping.

Girl, you are really doing it big! I feel you. Shit, why a woman can't be horny, good at what she do, beautiful, smart, but merely a ho? You gotta let them know.

LoL yeah Comika ...... tis true. I mean men don't get a name for sleeping around..... for liking sex ...... or being good at it. Or do they? (Just joking here) "Aren't they called Gay?"
I am only kidding..... I think love is great where ever we can find it. I am hetero but I have bi friends as well as hetero friends. I love them all the same because it is not one's appearance or sexuality that determines who they are as a person..... it is that thing inside. I believe it is Soul.

A couple of years ago I went thru a strange period. It lasted a few months... and still every now and then it comes upon me again. I look at people and they all look alike..... shape ... color..... shape of face...... At first this scared the hell out of me....... I didn't know what was going on... but a good friend of mine... she said I was seeing peoples souls. So now I don't get scared... but lol I do not pay too much attention because... well I think it is intrusive. I just choose to think I am seeing the beautifulness of Humanity.
Anyways thanks for reading me Comika : )

    *Hugs*
