    ~I NEED YOU NOW~

    I need you now as
    the skies falling down and
it's raining blood in a place
    deep inside where
all the angels went to hide
from hate in my soul that
    only your love can control.

    I need you now as
my anger is like the sun
    burning through my
    veins as its rays crucify
me to the sky where Heaven
casts away her eye and only
your love can tell me why.

    I need you now
    with me somehow
    to cry out the sun,
    to be the one
    to catch the sky,
    to rewind goodbye.
    I need you now
    to show me how.

    I need you now as
    nights eclipse my days
    with shadows like clouds
    eclipse sunshine and
    dusk bleeds darkness upon
    my days where only your
    love could match dawn's rays.

    I need you now as
    my breath escapes my
soul like love I once knew
    slipped through the tare
    in my heart that only
    your love could sew
with love like at the start.

    I need you now
    with me somehow
    to white out the night,
    to hold you tight,
    to catch my breath.
    and escape my death.
    I need you now
    to show me how.

    This is lovely Moonchild,

so much emotion and expression for need. Many of us can relate to this suffering of desperation.

    Thank you Jolie.
And it's so sad that many can relate to it
but it's true. Glad you liked :)

    .

That's a striking poem...it took a little long for me to read because of the column style (or was it the purple :/)...lol, regardless, I really like in the end "...to catch my breath, and escape my death". : )

    moon,

wow. i read this first as a poem and then as lyrics. this would make some awesome lyrics. just need some organizing, but this would make a killer ballad. the phrase i liked the best was "to rewind good-bye. that was a jewel. i've been writing lyrics for years and tho i know its a poem, i started popping out melodies from the first stanza. very impressive.
