    If I could imagine
    A poet
    (in flight)
    A white snowy owl,
    would be a delight.
    Alone,
    As she soars
    Into the dark night;
    She hunts.

    If I could imagine,
    A priest
    (in a dream)
    A beautiful salmon
    would be so serene.
    Alone
    As he follows
    A cool mountain stream;
    He swims.

    When I imagine,
    the priest
    and the poet-
    Spendors from God,
    To those who all know it.
    Both,
    Very different but...
    Never do show it.
    -They prey-

    Very good poem, Sally. I enjoyed this one, but have to confess...what does the priest prey on? Always love your works!

    Thanks Benny :)

    The priest preys on the innocent. In other words, Some of the so called " messengers of God" In the name of thier God will rape and destroy the meek and the innocent.
    As we see everyday in society. I'm not saying they ALL do that. There are preachers/priests who preach the word of God, and stand behind thier beliefs and faiths.
    Yet others will backslide and end up unholy.

    And that's what I meant when I wrote they prey.

    Blessings
    Sally
