    Disheartening defeat
    In the affairs of love
    Bittersweet
    Yearning for someone
    Who looks right through you
    As though you are invisible
Your heart bends just a little
But at least it won’t break
    Because someone who can’t
    even see you
    Can’t hurt your feelings

Hi POETRY GARDEN - I love this little self-affirming and empowering piece you've shared - And I totally agree:

So often we have things said to us that are mean, bitter and otherwise devious. Throughout the years I've actually built up a sort of wall to keep those words from getting through. But most recently I've decided that people who down me for whatever reason... They don't matter. It's all about love here. Love and respect. And when that's not given - the person who would seek to demean becomes invisible.

Thanx for the poem and very nice share.
    Not a word wasted!

    Jacquii.

oh, this was a sudden treat. i could relate much mana. the optimism that was unvield before your conclusion was fabulous. sometimes it's the short canvases that speak more volume than the epic. this was spectacular. one-

    Dear PG,

This was a wonderful write...I love how you tell a whole story on a small canvas. My kind of writing. This should be an anthem for some, so true, and you expressed it poetically beautiful as I expected. Bravo dear poet!
