It all started with a packet of seeds
To be planted with tenderness and care
At the base of an Oak, free from all weeds.
They will produce such beauty and flare.

To be planted with tenderness and care,
    A cacophony of colorful flowers,
They will produce such beauty and flare
With an aroma that continue for hours.

    A cacophony of colorful flowers,
Bright oranges, with yellows and reds,
With an aroma that can continue for hours,
    Delivered from their fresh flowerbeds.

Bright oranges, with yellows and reds,
At the base of an Oak, free from all weeds,
Delivered from their fresh flower beds
It all started with a packet of seeds.

Dear Forestdawn (I love your name),
This is yet another refreshing, aestheic, feel good poem. As a teacher, from time to time we need to read poems like this, you know what I mean. (I teach 8 - 12th grade Sciences) Your word choice was so careful, and perfect, yet flows like mountain spring water. I can see right now, that we are in for a treat, with your "naturesque", if you will, poetry. Thank you for sharing. Loved it!

Thank you very much Kim...PaintedDiary.. :)

Your comment was beautiful. Wow a teacher huh? I am a homeschool teacher myself for my eight year old daughter. It`s a challenge I can say that. But I enjoy it a lot!

Thanks again for your reply. It was greatly appreciated.

    Blessings

Hi FORESTDAWN - This piece sounded so familiar to me... I first thought it was some eloquent style that I had seen while doing research several years back - So I did my google thing LOL

It's a very lovely example of a PANTOUM - I've read it before!!!!! On ShadowPoetry  Seems a small world huh LOL

Anyway - beautiful writing - I really enjoyed this piece immensely, as it reminds me of Tennessee... Beautiful state if I may say so myself - My hometown: Oak Ridge..... So you can see I have a fondness for the Oak - Also nature in general really.

But your words are all so picturesque - It's like I can see 'clarity' in your writing - You've written a very beautiful ode to nature - I like!

    Thanx for sharing!

    Jacquii.
