    “Thinking Of You”

I sit high on the highest mountain top

Sitting closer to the moon than I ever been

The shadow of darkness creeps under the souls of my feet

A hint of this early morning sunrise, shows itself

Unfolding onto this early mornings darkness

    ~

I sit, thinking of my earlier existence in life

What it would have been like without you

Life is full of changes, not knowing which way to turn

God and all his glory, has kept his loving arms

    Around us

    ~

My heart sinks deeper into darkness

    Missing you

As the sun rises higher, feeling its warmth

    I remember your smile

    ~

Remembering the last time we held each other

    Your warm embrace

The way the breeze lifted up your beautiful hair

    The sparkle in your eyes

The way they sparkled when I told you I loved you

    ~

Today is the first day of the rest of your life

These were my first and last words I spoke to you

    No longer together

But our souls still dance together

    Our bodies no longer exist

    But my soul still returns

    To hug you
