    Jump ship!
    sink
    swim
    watch the land
    float away,
    or is it you just
    floating away?

    It's too late
    to turn back,
    when you realize
    the boats
    not cap sizing.

    No one notices
    you've left.

    Want to talk
    about drifters,
    how about
    spinning it into
    something literal.

    Jump ship!
    Find the colder
    water
    makes for a colder
    grave.

    An iceberg as
    a grave stone,
    doesn't sound so
    bad.

    Maybe one day
    you'll sink another
    Titanic.

    High hopes.

    Jump ship!
    Swan dive
    into the deep blue
    careless as
    a newborn,
    and just as lost.

    Or maybe,
    thats what being
    found is all about.

    Who knows,
    so many claim
    to be lost these days.

    Guess you have to
    go where no one else
    dares too to find it.

    Jump ship!
    And try to take
    the whole crew
    with you,
    cut them up with
    your tongue.
    Use them as chum
    for the sharks.

    Now thats living...

    Eat along side
    the great white
    and killer whale.
    As you slowly
    find yourself
    devoured by
    dolphins.

    What are we
    all waiting for?

    Just jump...

    Dear Matt,

You always surprise me how you twist and turn in your metaphors. You are fabulous with that. You make me think from the beginning to the end, therefore capturing my every breath. I find that the person (s) are looking for a safe and comfortable existance and waters tested are scary and soul of life threatening. Still when we try and the zone has been found, there are always others looking to feed, waiting to feed, and waiting for those lost souls. I think this is one of those great peices that will take many dendritic paths in different people's minds. You have spun an intricate web here, and I thank you for posting. Love Ya!
