    see also Kyrielle

The KYRIELLE DIALOG is a kyrielle with two alternating refrains and voices or characters speaking in the poem. The voices and their refrains alternate stanzas. The refrains may rhyme with each other or have other elements in common, such as anaphora.

    Example by Charley Weatherford:

A Dialogue of Dawn and the Fading Night

I come to trumpet a new day.
I ride the sun, your darkness flay,
so that you shudder in dismay.
Flee before me Night; I am dawn!

I am old, but will be reborn,
although my edges are now worn.
I retreat, but am not forlorn.
I lost not this fight; I’ve withdrawn.
