with my soul as your paper
and your thoughts like a pen
    you dictated my future
    where life starts
    where love ends.
pulling the strings around my heart
a wee kiss to light a spark
then you doused it with my tears
    building mountains of my fears.
    hoarding memories
    burying dreams
i grew hatred while time revealed
    "with this ring
    i thee wed"
    were words better left unsaid

    Dear Santui,

Again, I apologize for not commenting sooner, and am glad to bring this to life on the forum. Another poignant write. For some, yes, this is the way a marriage ends or ends up being. Very sad, and to think the institution of marriage is so blessed, so sacred. Things do happen in life, and we move on. I wish all the blessings of finding true love for the first time, or finding true love again. It would be nice to see the compliment of this piece, one that speaks of love, happiness, and joy. Thank you for sharing your pen and ink with us.

    Kimberly
