The MINUTE POEM is rhyming verse form consisting of 12 lines of 60 syllables written in strict iambic meter. The poem is formatted into 3 stanzas of 8-4-4-4. The rhyme scheme is as follows: aabb, ccdd, eeff

    Example by Jacquii Cooke:

    Just Not With The Wind

When the wind blew, she went away
    never did she sway
    just faded down
    to the cold ground

    Sometimes I hear her whispering
    and littering
    sweet-lil-nothings
    of stale fuckings

I swear such a nicely blown wind
    Thought I'da friend...
    now that I'm deaf
    may as well shift
