    Myth

    Your Grandmother was a Titan,

    Your Father half-god, half-man,

You have been living in their shadow,

Striving to outperform all mortal men,

    Becoming godlike in your appearance,

    And divine in your wisdom.

    What a paradox—zealous man,

Hovering around the rings of Saturn,

In order to gain a Titan’s love.

Your success in a world of gods

    Depends upon this elaborate performance

Of which the reward is eternally withheld.
