    "Purple Rain"

    Purple mountain majesties
    art growing from within,
    Rainbow blues bring violet hues
    and paints the sky again.
    Far beyond the highest hill
    light rain ornates the crest,
And brings with it the beauty
    in shades of amethyst.

    Blessings

    Dear Ms Roberts,

The title is what drew me in, and I knew I had to read this. WOW! This was majestic, light, refreshing, colorful, and such a pleasure to read. My favorite color is Purple, as well as my birthstone is amethyst (February 25th). This is purple imagery at its best. Would make for a great oil pastel painting!!!!!!! I loved this, and thank you for sharing. Ok, I will admit, I thought of "Prince" and the song called, "Purple Rain", which I love as well. LOL!!!!

    Thanks Kim!

I love catchy titles and surprise endings. And in striving for both I challenge myself every time I write a poem.

My birthstone and favorite color is the same as well. My birthday falls on the 8th of Feb.

    Thanks for the comments: rainbow:

    Blessings
