I started this a few years ago, with just the first 6 lines, and have been adding to it every once in blue moon. Feels good to finally finish.

So Many Questions, So Little Courage
    A notebook
    A pencil
    And a million tears
    A question
    No answer
    Just a million fears

    Did you ever miss me
    Did you ever care
Did you ever wanna see me
    Did you ever wonder where
    We might have been
    We would have been
    We could have been
    We should have been

    Half whimper
    Half scream
    And all trepidation
    Half question
    Half comment
    And all apprehension

    Did you remember my birthday
Did you say a prayer for me
Did you wonder where my head lay
Did you ever wish to see
    Who I might be
    Who I would be
    Who I could be
    Who I should be

    A hope and
    A prayer
    But little more than schemes
    A volition
    An ambition
    But little more than dreams

Did you think of me at night
Did you dream for a link
Did you pray I was alright
Did you ever just stop... and think
    You might have loved me...
    You would have loved me...
    You could have loved me...
    You should have loved me...

So many questions, so little courage

Serenity........The eternal questions that haunt the soul.....when love has departed. I enjoyed your writing very much. It carries that forlorn melancholy longing that packs the stanzas with emotion.

Hehe TY aunt Tree =) Re-reading it, I can kinda pick out my different "poetic voices" that I've tried over the years. How strange :p Glad you liked :)

    You made my feelings wander
    throughout the write, you kept
    me wondering what was missed
that was needed to be known
    of you.

You have left a trail, can you
    be found now??

    Thanks for the read.

This was great. I liked the style of it. I can really feel the sense of abandonment here. You have such great talent. I also loved the title "So Many Questions, So Little Courage".

I love this poem...so simplistic it packs that much more of an impact on the reader!
