    Rainbow Mountain

    all the colors ever seen
    dance upon your children trees
    in poignant splendor,
    as autumn nears her end.

    as i carry myself
    alongside your silence,
i wonder at all your charms
    which lay before me ~
    warm, earthy charms
    of your nature

    my heart clings to you.

How could I not love that phrase, "children trees"!
This is a beautiful, well-written work that was a real joy to read.
TY for sharing it with us, Dolores!

    Dolores this was beautiful!!

I absolutely love writing and reading about nature...one of my very favorite things is to go on my patio in the morning or at sunset and just look out over the mountains. Mountains are so immensely comforting...I believe that God put them as sleeping giants into our lives to help us realize that nothing is ever as bad as it seems, because we (and love and life) will go on...no matter what.

Rainbow Mountain....my heart clings to you.

an attachment to a thing of beauty lingering in your memory will always bring joy and happiness in the remembering of it.
